In June of 2011, Fabrice Snook asked me – almost begged me - to make again a calendar for the Gay Archipelago. I had my doubts as making a calendar is a time-consuming project if you want to involve 12 or more clubs, select models with contests and find enthusiastic photographers. I agreed with Fab's arguments that our visitors love to model and are fond of contests. It is also a great avenue for the clubs and shows the community spirit. So we decided to add an extra stimulus by asking sponsors for the presentation and to ask Theatre on the Hill to organize a combination of show elements and fashion.
Now my job as 'professional beggar' was created. Finding photographers was not as hard as I had thought. Some creators of last year's calendar were very pleased to be asked again. The models? They were as proud as a movie star winning an Oscar Award. The toughest quest was to find interested clubs and sponsors. I had confrontations with club managers who did not believe in this project and refused to pay L$ 1000 or more for a contest winner prize. I had similar experiences with some tenants who were not interested at all. That means, you will see a lot of participating clubs who were also partners of the 2011 calender. Hat's-off to the sponsors I found finally; they are 'formidable' !
For publicity reasons I have chosen a male calendar with a sexy touch. If you don't want to see male nudes, you better not take a copy or close your eyes if you see a calendar in one of the clubs.
As we all know, Fabrice did not see the results of this project. For that reason I delayed the calendar-release show, 'Forbidden Fruits' along with the planned fashion presentation. On January 2, 2012, we hosted a modest New Years reception and Oliver Elton showed curious visitors the new 2012 calendar. DJ Regi Yifu was to kind to help with tunes and it was great to see a lot of owners and managers of the clubs wishing each other a Happy New Year.
The calendar ( boxed in a green plastic bag ) has been given to the sponsors Regimade Jeans, J&D Design, Butterfly Beach, RG&DW, Cox Leather and Neon Coyote. Thank you guys and gal for your confidence and awesome goodies for the giftbox. Managers and owners of the participating role-play sims Romanum, Navan and UCG (Tabor and Nyundo) also got a copy. The same for the clubs The Engine, E2 Mediadrome, Badpuppy Beach Club, The Aqua Lounge, Arsenal, Gay Islands Club, The Bathhouse, Dorian Gray (now defunct), Gay Rivièra Beach and The Bunker. Some of them have rezzed the calendar and/or the giftbox in their shop(s) and loccations for you.

The end of the year, 2011 marks the end of a busy and active 6 months since the last activity report was filed. The current Council Team was faced with the immediate challenges and turmoil of situations such as the sudden disappearance of multiple estates as they left for another grid, the ‘retirement’ of Fabrice Snook, the world economic situation (yes, it does impact SL), and the continuing uncertainty behind and subsequent shifting of the ‘appointed’ leadership of this second half-year Council Team of 2011.
As the last active administrative member of this current term of the Council Team, I have taken it upon myself to file this half-year report to better inform you on the status of activities and projects which fell into this last half of the year.
GROUPS: As GA Groups manager/moderator, I am pleased to report that membership numbers have remained steady in both the GAY ARCHIPELAGO (2600 +-) group as well as the GA Events Info Group (733 +-).

Happy New Year !
Above the invite for the New Year reception. Oliver Elton - the star of Theatre on the Hill - will show you on stage the sexy pics of the models you have chosen during 15 contests (including the cover pages and 2 duo pictures).
Mr Gay 2011, also known as DJ Regi Yifu will take care for the tunes and a great atmosphere.

The Calendar and Infobook are boxed and our sponsors added some funny gadgets and great outfits. Only a small warning ... this calendar is a bit naughty, some will call it 'hot', if you are under age or not amused seeing a bit more of a male body, you better close your eyes during the presentation.
The earlier announced show Forbidden Fruits is delayed, during this time of vacations we could not get all performers together for rehearsals. No worries, we make the show even better and end January we present you a naughty camp show with lots of surprises , effects ... and great music (Eng, Fr, Ger).

The Calendar project 2012 is coming to an end, this weekend two contests for Mr October and Mr May. The last contest - Mr December - will is planned for 26 November.
Friday18 November, 12 PM PST, the clubs Bathhouse and Dorian Gray invite you for a Tropical Carnival. Inspect your inventory for exotic clothes and masks, feathers in your butt or flowers in your hair, the hosts like to see you colorful and excited. The DJ's Heloq and Ado will give you an extra boost to express yourself and the winner of the contest can call himself Mr October 2012.
The next day, Saturday 19 November, 1 PM PST, the tropical beach of Thira welcomes you for an open air party. No high tech, pure nature with native dancers from all over the world competing for the title Mr May 2012. DJ Tommy from Venezuela will stream all kinds of dance music with some extra tropical rhythms. Both parties will be announced in the GA Event group and the local groups. Time enough to go shopping or be creative yourself.
As publisher of the calendar, I had the honor to interview earlier contest winners and I noticed that all were surprised to win a contest. The models took some time to do a photo shoot with our creative photographers and the results are mouthwatering. Every page of the calendar will be eye candy; only 1 month to go and you can judge it for yourself. The luxury gift box will contain the calendar, the Info Book 2012 and lots of gifts from our sponsors and some freebees of the clubs. The calendar will not be spread in the groups; you have to visit one of the partners of this project. You will be informed about the Final Party with a special 'naughty' performance of Theatre on the Hill and where you can get the calendar. Stay tuned and much success contestants !
