Become a Vampire Gaystuff Fashion & Hunt

The Gay Archipelago family grows, and grows and grows...

Today there are 147 sims and 44 estate owners sharing the same area. Further expansions are planned and the question is: which sim will be 150th in the coming weeks?

For an estate owner, what are the main advantages for a move to the Gay Archipelago, in other words, to become a GA co-owner?

The GA has grown from friends, and friends of friends coming into the area. Some have chosen to connect their sims with others, some have kept sea around themselves.

Heya happy Folks,

The baby is an adult now.

Mature enough and charismatic enough, to live its own life.

Together, we have created the epicenter of the LGBT Community of Second Life. This achievement is due to all of you :  your involvement, your efforts, your creativity, your laughs.

It’s time for me to thank you, to wish you the best for the future and to work on my own businesses.

As planned, the Council will to be renewed at the end of June.

On June 19th, the next Council chairman will be officially nominated, the Council team on June 26th. Then they will start working for Gay Archipelago Estate owners.

How will it work ?

To avoid spending too much time in politics (we don't have enough time;)), the next chairman will be designated by a consensus.

Then he/she will constitute his/her team to work with him/her for the GA Estate owners.

Who decides ?

The Gay Archipelago grows, and grows and grows...

Today we are 103 sims and 27 estate owners. Further expansions are planned and the question is: which sim will be 110th in the coming days?

The Gay Archipelago grows, and grows and grows...

Today we are 99 sims and 26 estate owners. Further expansion is planned and the question is: which sim will be 100th in the coming days?

For an estate owner, what are the main advantages for a move to the Gay Archipelago, in other words, to become a GA co-owner?

GA has grown from friends, and friends of friends coming into the area. Some have chosen to connect their sims with others, some have kept sea around themselves.

The main advantage is sharing traffic with the same area.

With friendly neighbors we can avoid damaging competition, and focus instead on co-operation and friendship. Being in the same "family" with the greatest LGBT estates in Second Life helps to grease the wheels somewhat. And more than that, it encourages shared events, partnerships, and common projects. But... it's up to everyone to be simply happy, and have a good time with the friends around them, as opposed to being alone with unknown neighbors on the vast SL grid.

The epicenter of the Gay Archipelago is the Pride sim, the official LGBT Community Gateway, where newcomers are welcomed into Second Life. Many of these individuals are looking for people to meet, places to explore, perhaps shopping and accommodation.

Each estate owner can join the GA Council, a non-profit organization established to help and support GA estates. Perhaps the estate owner can bring a skill that benefits others, i.e. assist with this website, the Real Estate Agency, the Sandbox...

How to move? The first point of contact is: Omatthias Vidor. He is Grid Chair in the GA Council, and with you, he can decide the best location for your estate, and reserve the space you need for expansion in the future.

Welcome, and happy dayz in Gay Archipelago ! ;)

The LGBT Gateway is official and online!

And here is a slurl to the Gateway itself:
LGBT Community Gateway in Second Life

At 3:00 pm SLT last thursday, Linden Labs pulled the switch and the LGBT Gateway on the Pride sim went operational.

This brings us closer to our goal of creating an international community for gay people in Second Life and of providing direction and discovery for new as well as experienced residents traveling through our world.

Also of note, the Gateway will be a boon to the sims of the Gay Archipelago, bringing increased traffic and exposure to the businesses and services located in the GA. However the LGBT Community Gateway is open to every LGBT sims in Second Life.

If you are interested in volunteering as a greeter/mentor to the newbies as they move through the Gateway, please contact Philip Eubanks or Thormec Micheline. Your involvement in the Gateway will be fun, rewarding and greatly appreciated.
