The Gay Archipelago grows, and grows and grows...
Today we are 99 sims and 26 estate owners. Further expansion is planned and the question is: which sim will be 100th in the coming days?
For an estate owner, what are the main advantages for a move to the Gay Archipelago, in other words, to become a GA co-owner?
GA has grown from friends, and friends of friends coming into the area. Some have chosen to connect their sims with others, some have kept sea around themselves.
The main advantage is sharing traffic with the same area.
With friendly neighbors we can avoid damaging competition, and focus instead on co-operation and friendship. Being in the same "family" with the greatest LGBT estates in Second Life helps to grease the wheels somewhat. And more than that, it encourages shared events, partnerships, and common projects. But... it's up to everyone to be simply happy, and have a good time with the friends around them, as opposed to being alone with unknown neighbors on the vast SL grid.
The epicenter of the Gay Archipelago is the Pride sim, the official LGBT Community Gateway, where newcomers are welcomed into Second Life. Many of these individuals are looking for people to meet, places to explore, perhaps shopping and accommodation.
Each estate owner can join the GA Council, a non-profit organization established to help and support GA estates. Perhaps the estate owner can bring a skill that benefits others, i.e. assist with this website, the Real Estate Agency, the Sandbox...
How to move? The first point of contact is: Omatthias Vidor. He is Grid Chair in the GA Council, and with you, he can decide the best location for your estate, and reserve the space you need for expansion in the future.
Welcome, and happy dayz in Gay Archipelago !
